A’s Back in HBO Max’s Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Teaser

If we learned anything from Pretty Little Liars on Freeform it was to never trust a pretty girl with an ugly secret.

However, ugly secrets make great TV and HBO Max knows how to tease the teen horror thriller’s new incarnation, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. The streaming platform has released a new teaser with a message from A.

“It’s not what you think, bitches. – A”

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin remains in the PLL universe, but takes place in Millwood. The official synopsis describes the plot.

“Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own.“

The show is being developed for HBO Max by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring. The released a statement outlining their vision for PLL: Original Sin.

“We’re such huge fans of what I. Marlene King and her iconic cast created, we knew that we had to treat the original series as #CANON and do something different. So we’re leaning into the suspense and horror in this reboot, which hopefully will honor what the fans loved about the hit series, while weaving in new, unexpected elements.”
