The dark secrets of Rosewood, Pennsylvania may resurface sooner rather than later. The Hollywood Reporter scoops that a Pretty Little Liars reboot is in development.

It’s been 3 years since Freeform’s original series Pretty Little Liars left the air. Now, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is helping Warner Bros. Television bring the show back to life. The new PLL will feature a fresh story and characters. Aguirre-Sacasa will write the first script.

Word around the Internet has it the series is being eyed at HBO Max. However, there is no official network or streaming service attached to the reboot at this moment. Warner TV is very eager to get this project off the ground.

Additionally, Aguirre-Sacasa will serve as executive producer along with Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Alloy owns the rights to any PLL centric series’.
