Supergirl’s fight will be ending.

The CW, Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions made a joint announcement that Supergirl’s sixth season will be its last.

The show, which stars Melissa Benoist, premiered on CBS before moving to The CW. It wrapped its fifth season earlier this spring.

The final season will feature 20 episodes and air in 2021.

The end of Supergirl comes as fellow Arrowverse series Batwoman is getting a new lead character and after Arrow ended earlier in 2020. The shows that remain are Black Lightning, Batwoman, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the upcoming Superman and Lois.

The CW has also found success with the DC Comic’s based Stargirl, though at this time it is technically not part of the Arrowverse and has never participated in a crossover.
