It looks like a sequel of an iconic horror film is making some changes. Deadline reports David Blue Garcia will now direct the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot!

Last weekend, original directors Andy and Ryan Tohill left the project due to creative differences. The film was one week in to production, and had to be shut down. Legendary Pictures is the engine behind the project.

Garcia is a Texas native much like the origins of the film! His recent credits include Tejano, which is on HBO. He takes over the project with fresh eyes. All current footage has been scrapped! The one week production shut down was so Garcia could work his magic.

Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Jacob Latimore and Moe Dunford all round out the cast. The film will pick up where 1974’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre left off. Are you ready to for the return of Leatherface?
