The Walking Dead to Wrap After 11 Seasons

The Walking Dead, the one-time ratings juggernaut, is ending after 11 seasons.

The announcement comes in the wake of COVID delays and the greenlight for a spinoff starring TWD favorites Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol).The spinoff is set to premiere in 2023.

Season 10 of the hit show was cut short in March due to COVID. The originally planned season finale will air in October.

Unlike most cable series with nine-12 episode seasons, The Walking Dead’s eleventh season feature 24 episodes.

AMC isn’t leaving TWD universe behind. In addition to the above mentioned spinoff, the cable channel has The Walking Dead: World Beyond on the horizon.
