The lasso of truth is now a Christmas present. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wonder Woman 1984 will now hit theaters on December 25, 2020!
A few days ago Wonder Woman’s impending fate was only a rumor, but now it is reality. This also puts the film one week after the premiere of Dune. Could this spell doom for Dune’s release date? Only time will tell.
This is second time the sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman is moving dates. Sadly, the coronavirus pandemic is responsible for the push. With the major markets still in disarray, the film had no choice but to delay opening.
Director Patty Jenkins spoke on the film’s new debut date. “I know how important it is to bring this movie to you on a big screen when all of us can share the experience together, I’m hopeful you won’t mind waiting just a little bit longer. With the new date on Christmas Day, we can’t wait to spend the holidays with you!“
Will your Christmas treat be Wonder Woman 1984?
