Welcome to the multiverse! Benedict Cumberbatch will appear as Doctor Strange in Spider-Man 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
After Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) death, Spider-Man (Tom Holland) has been left without a male mentor. Enter, Doctor Strange. The current plan is to have Doctor Strange fill in for Tony Stark when it comes to Spider-Man. With Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) also returning in the film, it’s jam packed with stars. This also puts Spider-Man in a good position to move up in the Avengers ranks.
With Doctor Strange now in Peter Parker’s part of New York, the manipulation of time and space is highly likely. This could explain Jamie Foxx reprising Electro! It’s just a theory, but the possibilities are endless now. Furthermore, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will explore alternate realities, which could all feed into the next Spider-Man film.
Spider-Man 3 will begin filming this month in Atlanta. Look for the finished product to premiere on Dec. 17, 2021!
