Yippie Ki-Yay! Bruce Willis is back as John McClane in a jam-packed Die Hard Batteries commercial!
The last time we saw John McClane was in 2013’s A Good Day to Die Hard. He’s back once again to Die Hard…for car batteries! In one of the most intriguing commercials in a while, Willis as McClane is having serious car trouble!
His car battery dies, and he makes his way to an Advanced Auto Parts store. However, not without running into a few old “friends”. He looks over and sees original 1988 Die Hard villain Theo (Clarence Gilyard Jr.) pretend to shoot him through a window. Soon, McClane is surrounded by Theo’s goons.
Suddenly, McClane bursts through the window of the auto parts store asking for a battery. Additionally, he asks the associate if there is another way out. She nods up towards the air conditioning vent. In another wink to the 1988 film, McClane escapes with the battery through the vent.
As he makes his way outside, he is literally run over by a limo driven by none other than Argyle (De’voreaux White) from the the first movie. The duo dangerously navigate their way to McClane’s car!
