Hasbro is wasting no time in jumpstarting the Power Rangers Universe. Deadline scoops Bryan Edward Hill will pen the new Power Rangers Film.
Hill is faced with a big task in writing the Power Rangers reboot. The 2017 film did not fare well at the box office, and a sequel was scrapped. It’s clear the studio is bringing in fresh blood to create a renewed sense of faith in the project. Hill is very experienced in the fantasy world! He serves as the executive story editor on DC’s Titans.
Rumor has it the plot will be time travel heavy. It seems the new Power Rangers will be 2020’s teens who are transported to the 1990’s! They will have to figure out how to work together to get home.
Earlier this week, it was announced Jonathan Entwistle will spearhead the new Power Rangers Universe. A film and a TV series reboot are immediately both on the way. The upcoming film will take its source material from the uber popular 1993 series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
