There’s no way we’re saying Candyman more than once in succession. Collider reports Candyman will now debut in late summer 2021!

It’s going to be a while before Candyman will appear on the big screen. The new release date is Friday, August 27, 2021. The decision to move the film is due to the Coronavirus pandemic still going strong. Theaters in major markets are still closed, which means all the big films are playing musical release dates.

In September, Variety reported that Candyman would be pushed back to 2021, but an official premiere date was not announced.

The original Candyman debuted in 1992. The ruthless killer with a hook who appears in the Chicago Cabrini Green projects once you say his name 5 times still terrifies viewers today. The new sequel will build on story elements of the original.
