House of the Dragon, the much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, has cast its first lead character!
According to EW.com, Paddy Considine has joined the House of the Dragon as King Visery Targaryen.
The plot is described as,
“King Viserys Targaryen is chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal. A warm, kind, and decent man, Viserys only wishes to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy. But good men do not necessarily make for great kings.”

The other lead roles of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Queen Alicent Hightower, Aegon II Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen still have to be cast.
