Green Lantern Series a Go at HBO Max!

As the saying goes, “Beware my power; Green Lantern’s light!” A new Green Lantern series is coming to HBO Max, according to Variety.

After being in development for a year, HBO has finally given the show an official series order. There will be 10 episodes to start. The plot will follow the journey of several Green Lanterns! Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Earth’s first Green Lantern Alan Scott. The character will be a gay man like his comic counterpart. Kilowog and the Green Lantern Corps will also be present. As for the villains, Sinestro brings all of his evil to the program.

Seth Grahame-Smith holds the titles of showrunner, writer and executive producer He shares the latter two with Marc Guggenheim. Naturally, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television are co-producing the project.

The series joins the influx of original DC television series at HBO Max! It is the sixth show in the ranks with Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol, Titans, Strange Adventures and Justice League Dark.
