Several CW Shows Halt Production Due to COVID Test Delays

Several shows filming in British Columbia are now at a standstill. Riverdale, Charmed, Nancy Drew and Batwoman have all stopped production due to a delay in COVID testing processing, per Variety.

These are all CW shows that film in Vancouver. It appears there is a hang up in processing the COVID tests and receiving the results. There is only one lab handling the covid testing for the shows. The company is prioritizing schools, which restarted in the province. Without the outcome of COVID tests being readily available, the network had no choice except to stop production. The shows have only been back filming for a few weeks.

Once the test results return, the shows will resume filming. However, this snafu with the tests is causing more issues for other CW shows. The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl were all to begin filming this week, but not anymore. The CW pushing the start of production for all three shows.
