
An early 2000’s horror film is getting an update. A remake of The Others from Universal Pictures is in development, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
2001’s The Others starred Nicole Kidman and Christopher Eccleston. The Alejandro Amenabar directed film follow the story of a mother (Kidman) and her two children with an aversion to light slowly realizing their home is haunted. However, the twist in the end is that they are actually the ones doing the haunting.
The remake will tell a similar story, but no word on the exact changes are available at this time. Sentient Entertainment is co-producing the film with Universal. Renee Tab, Christopher Tuffin and Lucas Akoskin will serve as producers. Enrique Cerezo, Guido Rud, Michael Miller, and Jeeny Miller are executive producing the project.
