Tony Chung Cast in The CW’s Kung Fu!

The CW’s upcoming martial arts drama continues to grow. Deadline scoops Tony Chung  has been added as a series regular in the remake of Kung Fu.

The series is based the 1970’s David Carradine hit of the same name. This time, a woman will lead the show. Chung will portray the golden son of a wealthy family, Dennis Soong. He is Althea’s finacé, and has been the hot rich guy since his teens. His relationship with Althea will hit a rocky patch due their families clashing and a few skeletons in the closet.

He joins Olivia Liang, Vanessa Kai, Tzi Ma, Kheng Hua Tan, Jon Prasida, and Shannon Dang as the principal cast. Christina M. Kim is the showrunner and executive producer. Robert Berens, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Martin Gero, and David Madden will co-executive produce.

Chung was used as the facial model for Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 11.

Kung Fu is currently in production. The CW has yet to announce a possible release date.
