The caped crusader is expanding his crime fighting to a new platform! Entertainment Weekly reports a new scripted Batman Unburied podcast is heading to Spotify.
The new podcast is the first of many stemming from a new multi-year agreement between Warner Bros./DC and Spotify. Batman Begins screenplay writer David S. Goyer is the mastermind behind the upcoming audio drama. He returns to Batman after a 15 year absence.
Goyer gives a few insights on Batman on Spotify. “I’ve been a fan of narrative podcasts for some time and was looking for the right story — returning to Batman seems like the perfect opportunity. We’ll be using the unique advantages of audio to dig into the more nightmarish members of the Dark Knight’s Rogues Gallery. So this thing will have some Batman villains. Can’t tell you which ones, just that they’re bad guys. You’ll probably recognize them, so at least you’ve got that going for you.”
Spotify has even created a page just for DC podcasts! Look for Batman Unburied to debut on Spotify sometime in 2021!
