Chantal Thuy Upped to Black Lightning Series Regular

Get ready to see more shapeshifting on The CW!  Chantal Thuy has been made a series regular on Black Lightning, according to Deadline!

Thuy has portrayed Grace Choi since season 1! The character has gone from a bartender to Anissa’s girlfriend to an extended member of Team Black Lightning. She will absolutely use her shapeshifting powers in the battle for Freeland in season 4.

Showrunner Salim Akil expresses his fondness of the character and actress. “Chantal Thuy embodies the character of Grace Choi. I am sure our Black Lightning fans knew, especially those who follow the Grace and Anissa relationship storyline, that having Chantal join as a series regular was only a matter of time. I am elated to finally welcome her officially to the team.”

Thuy joins Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, James Remar, Christine Adams, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, and Jordan Calloway as a member of the main cast. The newest season of Black Lightning hits the airwaves on February 8, 2021.
