A special guest star will appear in a special episode. TVLine breaks Nic Bishop will appear in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’s tribute episode to Dr. Strangelove.
1964’s Dr. Strangelove is a satire black comedy film which focuses on the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. The legendary Stanley Kubrick directed the film. DC’s Legends are taking on the movie in episode four (Bay Of Squids) of the new season.
Bishop will portray General Kilgore. He’s a highly unstable hot headed man who only wants war. General Kilgore is comparable to General Buck Turgidson (George C. Scott) in the original film. In the Legend’s episode, Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) must find their way into John F. Kennedy’s White House to stop Kilgore from encouraging the president to start World War III. Meanwhile, an alien causes all kinds of trouble in Fidel Castro’s Cuba in 1962, and the consequences are dire.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow does not have an official return date at this time. Rumors have it the series will be back on The CW in Spring 2021!
