Netflix Renews Space Force

The laughs will continue for this quirky series! The Hollywood Reporter scoops Netflix renews Space Force for season 2.

Steve Carell stars in the comedy about the Space Force, the newest branch of the United States Military. The goal is to get “boots on the moon by 2024.” The series debuted on May 29, 2020. The series performed well enough to earn another season.

For season 2, production is moving locations from Los Angeles to Vancouver. This will cost a pretty penny, but filming in Vancouver is more cost effective. No word on when filming when begin.

Showrunner Greg Daniels gets help in the form of Norm Hiscock, who will become co-showrunner. Actor Jimmy O. Yang will pull double duty and join the writing staff for the new season. Carell, Yang,  John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, and Diana Silvers will all return for more Space Force.
