Netflix Renews The Umbrella Academy

The sibling superheroes will fight another day. Netflix has renewed The Umbrella Academy for a third season!

The series will return for 10 more episodes next season. Production will start in February in Toronto. Steve Blackman will resume his role as showrunner. Returning cast members include Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore.

Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Jesse McKeown and Black are all listed as executive producers. Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá serve as co-executive producers. The duo are the wrote and illustrated the Dark Horse Comic of the same name. It is the inspiration for the series.

Season two of the show premiered in July 2020 to very high ratings. The show has seen a great deal of success during the pandemic. Check out The Umbrella Academy’s official twitter post below confirming the series’ good news.
