A horror veteran actor sinks his claws into a supernatural show. Nightmare on Elm Street’s Robert Englund and seven more actors join Netflix’s Stranger Things, according to Variety.
Englund is most known for his iconic portrayal of fictional serial killer Freddy Krueger since 1984. Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn and England will be series regulars. Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko are holding down the recurring characters of the season.
Bower will portray the caring orderly in a psychiatric hospital, Peter Ballard. He may take a stand after seeing one too many wrongs. Also, in the hospital is Englund’s Victor Creel. He’s a troubled creepy resident of the hospital. His crime includes a rather gruesome murder in the 1950s.
Franco is Jonathan’s (Charlie Heaton) new best friend. He’s a stoner who delivers tasty Surfer Boy Pizza. Quinn will play Eddie Munson. He’s a metal head who runs Hawkins High’s official D&D club, The Hellfire Club. Munson is hated by many and loved by some. He soon becomes the center of Season 4’s big mystery.
Wlaschiha steps into the role of Dmitri. He’s a Russian prison guard who becomes friends with Hopper. Augustus will play the stern and woefully stubborn Lt. Colonel Sullivan. He firmly believes he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins forever.
Dye is the handsome Jason Carver. He’s the rich kid in school with everything including the most popular girl on his arm. However, the odd happenings in Hawkins soon destroy his seemingly perfect life.
Lastly, Djuricko becomes Yuri. He’s a shady, unstable Russian smuggler with an affinity for crunchy style peanut butter. Stranger Things is currently filming Season 4!
