The price is finally right! According to Nikkei Asia, Sony is in the midst of purchasing uber video streaming service Crunchyroll for $957 Million.

Crunchyroll touts the world’s largest Anime collection! The service has 70 million free members, and 3 million paying subscribers. It reaches more than 200 countries and regions, including the U.S. and Europe. Crunchyroll’s headquarters are in San Francisco.

The $957 million price tag seems steep, but Crunchyroll’s anime library alone is worth billions. The possible deal between Sony and Crunchyroll is in the final stages.

If Sony is able to finalize the deal, it would be in direct competition with Hulu and Netflix.
