Steven Caple Jr. To Direct New Transformers Film

The robots in disguise are heading back to the big screen. Deadline scoops Steven Caple Jr. will direct the next Transformers film.

Paramount Pictures and Hasbro Studios are currently revamping the Transformers cinematic universe. The goal is to reboot the next wave of Transformers movies. Creed 2 director Caple Jr. will helm the first film in the next installment of Transformers.

Joby Harold penned the script. It’s not yet finalized, but will be by the end of the summer. Harold’s script beat out James Vanderbilt’s in the battle to be picked up by the studio.

Transformers is one of Paramount’s biggest producers. Since 2007, the franchise has hauled in $4 billion worldwide over five films. Will you watch more Transformers?
