You’ve got to know when to hold them, and know when to fold them. The Hollywood Reporter breaks Terence Winter is out at The Batman series on HBO Max!

Winter’s reason for departure is the dreaded creative differences. He held the positions of the showrunner, writer and executive producer on the series. It seems Winter and movie director Matt Reeves/the producers could not get on the same page about the show’s path. The series is now searching for a new showrunner.

The Batman TV series is set to build on the upcoming film’s world. It would take a long look at the corruption in Gotham City. The show will be the launching pad for a new Batman universe, which will encompass multiple platforms.

The film The Batman will debut in theaters on March 4, 2022. The TV series should sometime air after the film. Winter’s exit slows the timeline a bit, but the show must go on.
