There will be more of the space outlaw. Everyone expects The Mandalorian Season 3 production to start soon, but when that happens is still a big question, according to Deadline.

Apparently, there is a new listing for The Mandalorian Season 3 in Production Weekly. The show has been in pre-production for some time. Earlier this year, show creator Jon Favreau expressed interest in beginning filming for season 3 in November or December 2020. With the pandemic, production could be pushed to 2021. The listing is under the working title of Buccaneer. The name is sparking several rumors about the exact nature of the production.

Reportedly, what is adding to The Mandalorian Season 3 production launch confusion is the planned spinoff of the Disney Plus hit, as well as a rumored Boba Fett miniseries. So much information is being kept under wraps about all three projects that any details about one project could impact the others.

Disney CEO Bob Iger mentioned in February there may be a spin-off in The Mandalorian’s future. Additionally, Disney is also developing a female centric Star Wars series from Leslye Headland. It’s possible Buccaneer could be one of these, but it’s likely season 3 of The Mandalorian.

It is important to note The Mandalorian has not been given the official greenlight for a third season. The second season just premiered last week, but it is no doubt still a hit for Disney Plus. Either way it goes, The Mandalorian is here to stay!
