The Marvel Cinematic Universe just dropped another casting bomb. Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil in Spider-Man 3 per Murphy’s Multiverse!
Cox previously portrayed Daredevil in the Netflix series of the same name from 2016-2018. After 39 episodes, Netflix threw in the towel. Netflix had a 2 year clause that prevented the character from appearing in anything else. With that deal now up, Cox will bring Daredevil to the upcoming Spider-Man film.
In the comics, Daredevil and Spider-Man are good friends! After the news Alfred Molina will be returning as Doc Ock, Spidey is going to need some help! Daredevil’s appearance in the MCU will definitely change the flow of thing a bit.
The film is shaping up to be a blockbuster convergence of Spidey related characters from the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield movie franchises and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil to the MCU’s Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
Spider-Man 3’s plot is being kept under lock and key. Rightfully so, at this point. With all the recent casting of past Spider-Man film alumni’s, anything is possible.
