“No Mercy” is the motto this go around! Netflix finally dropped the Cobra Kai Season 5 trailer!
The trailer opens with a drunk and bruised Johnny (William Zabka) apologizing to a gravely injured Miguel (Xolo Maridueña). He admits he failed his young apprentice. As the big Season 2 brawl flashes across the screen, Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) angrily says Cobra Kai has become soft. Then, Johnny gives the Cobra Kai dojo back to its original owner John Kreese (Martin Kove).
Meanwhile, Robby (Tanner Buchanan) is shown being put in handcuffs and hauled off to jail. Daniel’s (Ralph Macchio) voiceover mentions the reason the kids got into trouble is because of us. He says the only way to end things is to work together. It’s clear he’s talking to Johnny. He asks if Johnny is willing to let bygones be bygones.
Daniel returns to Cobra Kai and meets with Kreese face to face. The tension is thick. Quickly, we zip to the Cobra Kai students meeting a real cobra snake. Kreese advises them “There is no good. There is no bad. Only weak or strong.” The man is still the same person he has always been.
As Daniel and Johnny team up to restore the natural order, Alexandra (Courtney Henggeler) warns they are not the police. Daniel and Johnny are later seen kicking butt together. With appearances from The Karate Kid Part II characters Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) and Choze (Yuji Okumoto), the fight takes a new turn. As the tension between the kids rises, will they be able to settle their differences?
