Disney Cancels DuckTales

It’s time for the final curtain for this animated series. Entertainment Weekly reports DuckTales will end with season 3 on Disney!

The reboot of the popular 80’s series of the same name debuted in 2017. The first episode saw the return of Huey, Dewey, Louie, Donald and Scrooge McDuck. The final season of the show is currently on the air. The last episode will premiere some time in 2021.

Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones served as showrunners and executive producers. The series starred the voices of David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye , Tony Anselmo, Paget Brewster.

A Disney representative states “The talented creative team, led by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones, have delivered exceptional storytelling with uniquely reimagined characters for three seasons of 75 episodes and more than 15 shorts. While physical production has wrapped, DuckTales continues to be available daily on Disney Channels and Disney+ around the world.”
