Oscar Isaac in Talks for Lead Role in Metal Gear Solid Film

This Star Wars alumni is one busy man! Deadline scoops Oscar Isaac is in talks to become Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid film!

Metal Gear Solid is the latest popular video game series to get the live action treatment. The original game debuted in 1987 and has launched several sequels and spin-offs. To date 56 million copies of the game have been sold. The Sony Pictures film will be based off the 1998 Playstation game!

Isaac will star as the main protagonist Solid Snake. Snake is a soldier who breaks into a nuclear weapons facility to take out a terrorist threat from Foxhound, a turncoat special forces unit. Jordan Vogt-Roberts will serve as director.

Derek Connolly penned the script. Avi Arad will produce. The film is currently in the early stages pre-production.
