Peter Dinklage to Topline Toxic Avenger

Another 80’s cult classic gets a new life. According The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Dinklage will topline the new Toxic Avenger film!

The 1984 original film features the story of Melvin after he falls into a vat of toxic waste. After the incident, he is ready to fight the world’s less than savory characters. Melvin becomes superhero Toxie, and the fight is on.

Macon Blair will serve as director and writer of the film. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz will be co-producers. Herz is the original direct of the 80’s movie. Legendary is the engine behind the project.

The film is still in the early stages of production. It may be awhile before things get rolling as Dinklage is a busy man. He is currently filming Cyrano and Hitpig.
