The Princess of the Amazons will return to the big screen sooner rather than later. Warner Bros. will fast track Wonder Woman 3, the studio announced.
The move comes after Woman Woman 1984’s recent release in theaters and HBO Max simultaneously. It seems the studio is pleased enough with the film’s reception that it’s ready to go all in on another one.
Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are both currently attached to the third Wonder Woman film. Additionally, Jenkins will pen the script. No word on a possible release date is available at this time.
Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman, Toby Emmerich, speaks on the second film’s performance and future. “As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women – Gal and Patty – who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy.”
