Monty Python’s Spamalot to Become Feature Film

The Knights Of Ni are back! Deadline reports Paramount Pictures is ready to adapt Spamalot into a feature film!

Spamalot is the hit Broadway Musical based on 1975’s cult classic Monty Python and The Holy Grail. The play tackles the story of King Arthur. It’s full of tongue in cheek comedy set during Medieval times. The stage version also features Not Dead Fred, The Knights Of Ni, The Black Knight, and the Killer Rabbit from the film.

Spamalot the movie is in very good shape in the pre-production department. The screenplay, written by Monty Python troupe member Eric Idle, is ready to roll. Idle along with John DuPrez wrote the songs. Casey Nicholaw will occupy the director’s chair. Nicholaw was the choreographer in the original Broadway production.

Idle is producing with Dan Jinks. The next move is to cast the film and move to active production. Are you ready to sing Spamalot?
