The newest DC comic centric show finds its company! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix’s Sandman finally announces the main cast.
The series will feature The Dream King, Morpheus,”as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.” The show is based on the 1989 DC comic of the same name by Neil Gaiman. It’s been almost a year and half since Netflix first ordered the program to series.
Tom Sturridge will star as Dream, the lord of the dreaming. Game of Thrones alum Gwendoline Christie co-stars as the leader of hell Lucifer. Joining the duo on the cast are Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry and Sanjeev Bhaskar.
Allan Heinberg will serve as showrunner and co-writer with Gaiman. David S. Goyer is set to executive produce. The series will air eleven episodes when it’s all said and done. Drop us a line in the comments on the Sandman cast!
