Savannah Welch Joins HBO Max's Titans

The law is heading back to Gotham City. Variety reports that Savannah Welch has joined HBO Max’s Titans in a prominent role!

Welch will portray Barbara Gordon, Gotham City Police Commissioner. Gordon was Batgirl until the Joker shot and paralyzed her. Due to the incident, she uses a wheelchair. However, it does not stop her determination. Gordon strikes a new flame with her old love Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites). The duo will fight crime out on the mean streets. She and Bruce Wayne do not see eye to eye on much. Will they let their differences stand in the way of their ability to protect the city from evil?

Titans is a DC Universe transplant on HBO Max. The former streaming app changed directions late last year, and moved all of it’s programming to HBO Max. Greg Walker serves as showrunner. Additionally, he is an executive producer along with Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

Season 3 of Titans is currently in pre-production.
