A comedy actor is in for a change of pace in this movie. Variety reports the video game centric film Borderlands has tapped Kevin Hart to star!
Hart is a comedian who has found success in funny films in past few years. His role as Roland, a talented former soldier who becomes a mercenary, will be very different for the actor. He joins Cate Blanchett as part of the main cast.
Eli Roth occupies the director’s chair! Roth speaks on the Hart news. “Borderlands’ is a different kind of role for him, and we are excited to thrill audiences with a side of Kevin they’ve never seen before. He’s going to be an amazing Roland.“
Borderlands takes its source material from the 2009 video game of the same name. There are have been three sequels to original game to date. The film is currently in pre-production.
