Stacy Osei-Kuffour to Pen New Blade Film

The daywalker is closer to coming back to life! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stacy Osei-Kuffour will pen Marvel’s upcoming Blade reboot!

Osei-Kuffour makes history as the first Black woman to write a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s another step in the right direction for the comic centric studio. Her most recent credits include HBO’s Watchmen, Amazon’s Hunters, and the Hulu’s Emmy winning series Pen15.

Blade will star Mahershala Ali in the title role of Eric Brooks aka Blade. He is half human/half vampire, which allows him the ability to go out in the daylight. His main goal is to rid the world of all vampires. Ali’s credits include Netflix’s Luke Cage, House of Cards and True Detective.

The search for a director is still underway. Blade is currently in the early stages of production.
