
One network is handing out early show renewals! According to Variety, 12 The CW shows, including all the DC comics-based series, will return next season.
The full lineup of shows are Batwoman, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, All American, Charmed, Dynasty, In The Dark, Legacies, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Walker and RoswellL New Mexico.
Two freshman shows were also given more episodes for their first season. Walker will get five more episodes, and Superman & Lois received two more episodes. Both shows will now finish with 18 and 15 episodes respectively.
The CW Chairman and CEO, Mark Pedowitz, comments on the networks slew of renewals. “Though we’re just a few weeks into the new season, we wanted to get a strategic head start on next season with these early renewals, which allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season.”
The CW renewed Stargirl for a second season in July of 2020. The netlet cancelled Black Lightning in November 2020 and announced development of a Painkiller spinoff.
