Black Adam to Premiere Summer of 2022

This long awaited DC film finally gets a release date! Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock revealed the release date for his upcoming DC Comic’s film Black Adam!

The story featuring the ultimate anti-hero will finally come to the big screen on July 29, 2022! This is the first time a live action version of Black Adam is getting the feature film treatment. Dwayne Johnson stars in the title role.

The Black Adam premiere date announcement comes on the heels of news that Pierce Brosnan will play Doctor Fate in the film. In October it was revealed that The Rookie and Person of Interest star Sarah Shahi had been cast as a university professor.

Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell round out the cast. Jaume Collet-Serra serves as director. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani penned the script. Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are all producing. Collet-Serra, Johnson and the Garcia’s are reuniting after working on Disney’s Jungle Cruise together.

Johnson posted the film’s big Times Square feature on Twitter. The tagline is “The Hierarchy of Power in the DC Universe is about to Change.
