Indira Varma Cast in Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

Indira Varma has a new role! According to Deadline, Varma has joined the cast of Disney Plus’ upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series!

Varma is widely known for her role as Ellaria Sand on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Her role in the Star Wars series is currently being kept under lock and key. Naturally, the series will center behind Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. The events will take place he show is expected to take place after Revenge Of The Sith, but before A New Hope.

Returning as the title character is Ewan McGregor. Hayden Christensen is reprising his role as Kenobi’s apprentice turned Darth Vader. Deborah Chow will serve as primary director and showrunner.

Joby Harold will now pen the series after original writer Hossein Amini stepped down. Chow, McGregor, Kathleen Kennedy, Tracey Seaward, John Swartz, and Jason McGatlin are all executive producers. The show is still currently in pre-production.
