Pierce Brosnan Brings Doctor Fate to Life in Black Adam

Will a former James Bond make this superhero a little more smooth? The Hollywood Reporter scoops Pierce Brosnan will portray Doctor Fate in Black Adam!

His characters given name is Kent Nelson. He’s a master sorcerer who wears the Helmet of Fate. Dr. Fate is one of DC’s oldest heroes dating back to 1940’s More Fun Comics #5. Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman are his creators.

Brosnan is the final main actor to join the film. Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Quintessa Swindell are the previously announced cast members. Jaume Collet-Serra serves as director. Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are all producing. The trio and Collet-Serra previously worked together on Disney’s Jungle Cruise.

Black Adam will begin filming next month! The film was set for a debut later this year, but expect that date to move.
