Well, that didn’t take long! According to TVLine, The CW has ordered another season of Superman & Lois.

The series first premiered last Tuesday. With only one episode released, the network decided it wanted to see more of Smallville. Apparently, the pilot was the best performance from a show at 8EST in two years. The episode scored a 1.75 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating (in Live+Same Day numbers).

All of The CW’s hard work promoting the series seems to have paid off. Not only are the ratings looking great, the fans are singing its praises. Reviews have been favorable nearly across the board.

Mark Pedowitz, The CW CEO, spoke on the series’ extension. “The phenomenal multi-platform debut of Superman & Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment. We are thrilled to now have two brand-new bonafide hits in Superman & Lois and Walker, both of which have been renewed for next season along with 11 other of our shows, further positioning us for continued strength and stability for next season.

Superman & Lois airs Tuesday at 7C/8E!
