A classic Star Wars character is the next in line for a stand alone series. Star Wars.com reports The Book of Boba Fett will debut on Disney Plus in December 2021.

The character dates all the way back to 1980’s Empire Strikes Back. In the second trilogy in the 2000’s, Temuera Morrison portrays a younger version of the character. Boba Fett appears in the latest season of The Mandalorian and was even part of a stinger for the season finale. Return of the Jedi character Bib Fortuna is seen sitting on Jabba the Hutt’s old throne. Fennec (Ming-Na Wen) appears and starts shooting on sight. Boba Fett joins the fun, and Biba can’t believe it. When Biba mentions believing Boba was dead, Boba kills him and takes the throne.

A message appears directly after the scene that reads “coming December 2021“. Naturally, Morrison and Ming-Na Wen will reprise their roles as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau with Robert Rodriguez, and Dave Filoni will serve as executive producers.
